ARIS for Microsoft BizTalk PDF Print E-mail

ARIS for Microsoft BizTalk

Business Process Management Excellence with ARIS SOA Architect and Microsoft BizTalk
ARIS for Microsoft BizTalk offers companies seamless integration between business and technical BPM. After quick and easy modeling in ARIS SOA Architect, a process can be exported at the push of a button as a Microsoft Visual Studio BizTalk project.

Microsoft BizTalk Server allows users to define technical business processes (i.e., “orchestrations”) and make them available as Web services that can be called as desired. Orchestrations are typically implemented by software engineers in accordance with requirements defined by operational departments. Unfortunately, information is often lost somewhere along the line, which has a negative impact on subsequent process execution. ARIS for Microsoft BizTalk supports cooperation between operational and IT departments at this crucial point. Non-technical staff model their processes in the intuitive ARIS environment, while IT employees work in the same environment to create technical processes that reflect the business workflows. Thanks to shared use of the central ARIS repository, misunderstandings can be avoided.

Two key methods of transforming a business process into an executable process are supported:

When using an event-driven process chain (EPC) to describe the process flow in graphical form, the process model can be enriched with SOA-relevant aspects, such as calls to Web services or input/output data. Automated model transformation functionality enables a technical BPEL model to be created from the EPC. The model can be enhanced as required (e.g., copying of data).
Alternatively, if Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) is the preferred method, a business process diagram can be used to model the process flow and technical details (e.g., sending messages, branch conditions).
When the BPEL or BPMN model is complete, ARIS for Microsoft BizTalk automatically generates a Microsoft Visual Studio project, which can be edited by IT staff. This tight integration between ARIS SOA Architect and the Microsoft BizTalk environment boosts IT department productivity, saving time and money when implementing processes.

Your benefits:

Fast, intuitive modeling of business processes in EPC and BPMN.
BizTalk-specific model validations ensure successful transformation of a BPEL or BPMN model into a BizTalk orchestration.
Automated transformation of EPC models to BPEL, as well as export of BPEL or BPMN as a Visual Studio project for BizTalk.
Optional integration with ARIS Process Performance Manager for ongoing process monitoring.

Software Ag se posiciona según Gartner en tercer lugar como proveedor de ESB PDF Print E-mail

Software AG had the fastest growth rate among ESB vendors and the largest revenue gain amongst BPMS vendors in 2007
Leading independent research firm forecasts double-digit growth for 2006-2011 for both the BPMS and ESB markets

Darmstadt, Germany, 6/27/2008

Software AG, a global leader in business infrastructure software, today announced that according to Gartner, Inc, the company is now the third largest vendor for both business process management suites (BPMS) and enterprise service bus (ESB) solutions based on the company’s 2007 market share1. For 2006, prior to the acquisition of webMethods, the company was ranked fifth in total ESB software revenue and was not ranked among the top fifteen vendors for BPMS software revenue.

“We have set for ourselves the clear goals of becoming the independent market leader for both ESBs and BPMS.   We have now achieved these objectives”, said Karl-Heinz Streibich, CEO, Software AG. “We are in the top three with IBM and Oracle in two rapidly growing markets. The acquisition of webMethods was clearly critical to this success.”

Gartner credited Software AG with 93.5% growth in U.S. dollar terms in the ESB market in 2007, the best performance of any vendor covered in this report.  Software AG’s flagship offering for this market, the webMethods ESB, is a standards-based enterprise service bus (ESB) enabling integration and interoperability of applications, services, processes and partners via a single platform.

In the BPMS market, Software AG was recognized with total software revenue of $101.1 million.  These results encompass sales and maintenance fees for webMethods BPMS, Software AG’s full-feature process design, execution, monitoring and management solution.  In terms of actual revenue in U.S. dollars, Software AG posted the biggest gain of any vendor recognized within the BPMS market.

Gartner had previously positioned Software AG in the Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for B2B Gateway Software Vendors, 2008 [by Benoit J. Lheureux and Paolo Malinverno (June 3, 2008)]; the Magic Quadrant for Integrated SOA Governance Technology Sets, 2007 [by L. Frank Kenney and Daryl C. Plummer (December 31, 2007)]; and the Magic Quadrant for Business Process Management Suites, 2007 [by Janelle Hill, Michele Cantara, Eric Deitert and Marc Kerremans (December 14, 2007)].
